character design assignment for my concept drawing class. we had to create a character from a historical figure given to us by the professor. i did abe no seimei, a japanese onmyōji of the heian period who was "rumored" to be half kitsune (fox spirit). my version: abe no seimei is reincarnated in the 20th century and uses his divination powers for his personal gain, e.g., throwing rock paper scissors betting matches (it's a thing) for yakuza-run casinos (gambling is mostly illegal in japan).
